Andrew Simpson Watersports Centre

This is the first port of call for any water-sports enthusiast with courses and access to water-based activities including sailing, rowing, powerboating, kayaking, canoeing and paddle-boarding. Portsmouth Watersports Centre also houses a 13-metre outdoor climbing tower; one for the brave! The Andrew Simpson Foundation annual Bike4Bart Charity cycle ride took place in Portsmouth in 2019. Three routes were available, allowing people from a range of abilities to take part. Alongside the cycling, a Watersports Festival was held which will allow fun for all the family!

Louis Vuitton America's Cup World Series

Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series Portsmouth brings the best sailors in the world to Portsmouth and they compete in the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series event. The Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series is the equivalent F1 on water, with 45 foot catamarans flying (known as foiling) above the water up to 50 mph racing against one and other. The America’s Cup World Series is a succession 5 qualifying events held across the globe, with all the teams aiming to get to the final. In 2016, there were qualifying events in Portsmouth.

Visitors can experience the thrill of wakeboarding and kitesurfing at South Coast Wakeboarding; home to one of Europe's longest 2.0 straight-line cables meaning that no matter the weather you'll be able to train and shred the water all year long.
